Vue and Maya Integration

This tutorial provides extensive training on e-on Vue 7 xStream and Autodesk Maya 2009 integration. We will start off by first creating the environment inside of Vue taking advantage of its ability to create and render natural and realistic 3d environments and efficiently handling huge scenes with millions of polygons. Maya would be used for the job of animation and rendering overcoming the problems experienced during the not so seamless integration between the two softwares. This training kit also covers Maya dynamics to create exhaust flames, jet and missile trails etc that will be rendered out separately. The final render would then be imported inside of after effects for some tweaking and composting the different layers together to produce the final result as you can see.

Character Animation : Body Mechanics

In this tutorial, we will focus on the fundamentals and mechanics of character animation pursuing a workflow of professional animators. Starting from the traditional approach, we will first animate in Flipbook to grab a better hold over the principles of animation. This Flipbook animation would be used to block out the 3d scene inside Maya. It will be used as a reference to identify the key poses and accurately timing and spacing our character in Maya. We will discuss the entire animation workspace inside Maya including the timeline, graph editor, inverse and forward kinematics, character controls etc. so that you can understand and prepare the workspace to optimize the your workflow.

Character Animation : Acting & Lip-Sync

In this 2nd tutorial in the series of Character Animation, we will dive down even further into the world of animation and learn advanced acting and lip-sync for production. The first step is to analyze and interpret the audio to understand the character's emotions so that we can be realistic and believable in our animation. Like the former tutorial, we will first block out our animation in Flipbook to serve as a reference in our 3d workspace, that is, Maya. We will discuss the entire animation workspace inside Maya including the timeline, graph editor, inverse and forward kinematics, character controls etc. so that you can understand and prepare the workspace to optimize the your workflow.
